Phoenix, AZA motorcyclist ran a red light at the intersection of Avondale Boulevard and McDowell Road, and Arizona Department of Public Safety officers pursued the motorcyclist attempting to get them to pull over. But DPS officers terminated the chase before the motorcyclist continued onward to collide with a pickup. The motorcyclist was left in critical condition and taken to a local hospital for treatment. The pickup driver was not injured.

Phoenix, AZJeremy Bustos dies and an Avondale police officer is in critical condition after Bustos joyrides a stolen truck into a collision with a police car at 111th Avenue and Durango Street in Avondale, Arizona. Bustos is alleged to have assaulted a city employee and stolen their truck, joyriding it into a police chase that ended with Bustos carying a machette and a pocket knife, refusing to cooperate and being shot twice by police. The officer in the car that Bustos struck had to be extracted and was airlifted to St. Joseph Hospital in critical condition.

Phoenix, AZA motorcyclist died and another was taken to a hospital following a wreck near 107th Avenue and Van Buren Road that will cause heavy traffic delays throughout rush hour Monday morning, officials said.
Two riders were on a motorcycle the collided with a vehicle at the intersection in Avondale, killing one and severely injuring the other, an Avondale Police Department spokesman said.
The intersection was shut down in both directions for investigation.
