Birmingham, ALPreston Lee Brasher, 42, was killed when the vehicle he was driving crossed the center line and collided with a Dodge Ram head-on at 6:25 p.m. on Shelby County Road 47 southeast of Chelsea. Brasher was pronounced deceased at the crash site. The driver of the Dodge, Randal Scott Headrick, and his passenger, Amanda Headrick, were injured and taken to University of Alabama at Birmingham Hospital. Further information about their current conditions is not available.

Birmingham, ALA Pell City man died in a single-vehicle wreck just north of Chelsea March 14.
Derek Jason Ham, 42, was traveling on Shelby County 43 four miles north of Chelsea when his 1992 Jeep Cherokee left the roadway and struck a tree at about 4:25 p.m. March 14, said Alabama State Trooper Sgt. Steve Jarrett in a news release.
State troopers continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
