A teen was killed in a fatal wreck in Spartanburg County on Friday.

According to Highway Patrol, around 3:20 p.m. the driver of a 1979 Toyota pickup truck was involved in a single-vehicle accident on Buck Creek Road near Chesnee.

Trooper Bill Rhyne said the driver went off the right side of the road, overcorrected and went across the road where the truck struck an embankment.

Rhyne said the driver was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle.

Coroner Rusty Clevenger identified the driver as 19-year-old Michael Humphries, of Chesnee.
