Alabama State Troopers are investigating a single-car accident that left one man dead and another injured. 24-year-old Jonathan Kelly Sabo was driving a 1996 Chevrolet C1500 in Tuscaloosa County Monday night when he drove off the road and struck an embankment. Sabo, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was partially ejected from the vehicle and accounced deceased at the scene. His passenger, 21-year-old Christopher Garner, was taken to DCH Regional Medical Center for treatment of his injuries. The crash happened around 11 p.m. Monday on Carrollton Road just west of Coker.

A 2003 Buick Century driven by 88-year old Robert Lewis Elmore collided with a 2008 Jeep Liberty at 8:10 p.m. last Sunday on Highway 82 in Coker, Alabama. Elmore was taken to DCH Regional Medical Center where he later succumbed to his injuries. The injured driver of Jeep Liberty, 22-year old Margaret Claire Adams was taken to the same hospital for treatment of her injuries. According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency State Trooper Reginal King, Elmore was not wearing a seat belt during the accident and was partially ejected from his car.
