Anthony Roby, 33, killed in single-vehicle rollover car accident on I-220 in Jackson, Mississippi

One person is dead following a crash on Friday night on I-220. Officials confirm that the victim, 33-year-old Anthony Roby, has died. He was traveling south on I-220 near Watkins Drive when he lost control of his SUV and hit the center median, overturned, and rolled.

Robert Earl Roberts killed in pedestrian accident on I-20 East Frontage Road in Jackson, Mississippi

A pedestrian is dead after police say he was hit while walking on I-20 East Frontage Road on Tuesday night. Police say the driver told them that the pedestrian walked directly in front of the vehicle form the south side of Frontage Road. The victim was identified as Robert Earl Roberts.

Joshua Hardin, 21, killed, 22-year-old critically injured, taken to hospital, after their SUV collides with a pickup, driven by Tiffini Martin, 33, who was arrested, at an intersection on Highway 18 in Jackson.

Authorities say 21-year-old Joshua Hardin was killed by a suspected drunk driver early Sunday morning at the intersection of Highway 18 and TV Road in Jackson.

Family members tell us Joshua and three other friends were headed back from a Hal and Mal's concert.

Mississippi State Troopers responded to more than 200 accidents during Tuesday's icy weather, state officials said during a MEMA press conference.

The highway patrol expects 911 calls to continue to pour in overnight.

MDOT officials said the battle with ice on roadways (many elevated with cold air rushing underneath) is a constant struggle.

Between Tuesday night and Wednesday morning crews plan to continue to lay down salt and slag - sandy gravel - to help with traction.

But the best advice MDOT officials say they're giving is "just stay home".
