One woman went to the hospital Thursday night following a two-vehicle accident on South 48th Street near Austrian pine Drive in Laurel, Montana. The accident occured around 10 p.m. on October 23 when a woman driving a white car hit the back of a semi-trailer that was stopped in the road without lights on. Prior to the crash, the semi had lost power. The woman was taken to Billings Clinic. The severity of her injuries is unknown at this time.

Yellowstone County officials are investigating the cause of the crash, and they say an autopsy did not uncover any medical reasons. Toxicology results could take up to two months.

A Laurel man was arrested Friday evening after leading police on a chase through town.

Laurel police say Mario Edward Berger, 23, was seen at 6:43 p.m. driving a silver Mitsubishi sports car north on South Fifth Avenue. Berger was driving recklessly, according to police.

An officer tried to stop Berger, but he sped off east onto West Main Street, and went through a red light at Fifth and Main. Berger then turned left onto Second Avenue and ran two more stop signs, according to police.
