Fairbanks, AKNorth Pole police responded to a report of someone riding an ATV on the North Pole High School's football field at 1 in the morning. When police arrived they found Robert Bernard Merriweather, 28, sitting on his still functioning but heavily damaged ATV near the student parking lot entrance. Merriweather would not answer questions and attmepted to flee the scene, crashing the ATV again before he fled on foot. Police found him at his home at 1:45 a.m.

Fairbanks, AKAt about 8:25pm, Greenwood's car slid into the lane of oncoming traffic on Badger and struck an oncoming van. Greenwood was pronounced dead after being brought to the hospital, and the driver of the van, identified as Adam Davis, 29, sustained only minor injuries.
