The motorcyclist does not seem to have suffered life-threatening injuries but was transported to Backus Hospital where the patients condition is unknown. Neither individual’s identity involved in the collision has been released.

Hartford & New Haven, CTA 39 year old female injured in pedestrian accident in the area of 724 Boswell Avenue in Norwich, CT. She was hit by a vehicle, seriously injured, and taken by ambulance to William W. Backus Hospital where she was flown by Life Star helicopter to Hartford Hospital. The driver of the vehicle was not injured.

Hartford & New Haven, CTNorwich police say nine children suffered minor injuries when a Jeep driven by an off-duty city police officer crashed with a school bus. Police say the Jeep driven by Daniel Collins of Colchester crossed the double-yellow line on Asylum Street Thursday morning and sideswiped the bus, which had 25 students aboard. The nine injured students were taken to a local hospital, where they were treated and released. Police say they are investigating and claim sun glare may have been a contributing factor in the accident. The bus was heading north, the Jeep was southbound.
