Michael W. Blankenship was traveling east on Interstate 84 at around 7:50 p.m. when he lost control on a curve, overcorrected and hit the guardrail on the south side of the road. He was not wearing a seat belt at the time. He was transported by medical helicopter in critical condition to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise.

Tyler Depriest was driving a 2008 Kia west on I-84 in Gooding County when he lost control of the vehicle at around 1:45 a.m., entered the median and then the eastbound lanes, at which point he was hit by a 2015 Freightliner semi-trailer truck. Depriest and his passenger, Mariah Morales, both of Killeen, Texas, were pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the semi was Nicholas Salazar, 23, of Bethel, New York.

Idaho State Police are investigating a deadly crash in Gooding County. It occured at 6:30 p.m. Saturday night. 76-year-old William McFadden was driving a Ford Ranger on Interstate 84 when his tire blew. He lost control and the vehicle rolled several times. His passenger, 75-year-old Charon McFadden, was ejected and died on the scene. Police say neither person was wearing their seat belt. William McFadden was taken to North Canyon Medical Center in Gooding. No update has been given on the extent of his injuries. William and Charon McFadden were from Milwaukie, Oregon.
