Mankiller, of Crothersville, was found deceased in a Chervolet Malibu after the vehicle crashed down an embankment and hit a tree off of U.S. 31 on Friday around 5 p.m. Mankiller had been traveling south on U.S. 31 when the crash happened. The cause of the accident is under investigation.

Louisville, KYThomas Coomer, 58, was with his wife, Debra Coomer, 55, in their 2008 Toyota Corolla waiting to turn left so they could go north on U.S. 31. A driver in the southbound lanes motioned for Coomer to pull out and move in front of a semi that was stopped in the southbound lane. When Coomer started to drive his vehicle was hit broadside by a 2005 Chevrolet Uplander. Debra Coomer, who was in the front seat of the Corolla was pronounced dead at the scene. Thomas Coomer and the driver of the Uplander, Timothy Brock, 60, suffered minor injuries.
