Minneapolis-St. Paul, MNA 59-year-old Robert Steven Bentzwas was killed Saturday in a hayride accident for a birthday party. A tractor was pulling two hayracks joined together. Bentz fell between the hayracks and was run over by the second hayrack after apparently attempting to move from the first hayrack to the second. Bentz died at the scene.

Minneapolis-St. Paul, MNA longtime criminal on the run for months from charges that he sexually abused a young girl in central Minnesota for many years was caught after crashing his vehicle in a ditch, authorities said.
Brian S. Schmitz, 43, of Willmar, Minn., was apprehended Wednesday about 9:15 a.m., more than four hours after a Kandiyohi County sheriff’s deputy spotted a vehicle in a ditch off a private drive about 7 miles north of Willmar, the Sheriff’s Office said.
