Steven Gove, a 56-year-old mail carrier, was on his delivery route when he was struck by a hit-and-run driver. Gove was wearing a neon reflective vest and his three-wheeled delivery bike had front and rear flashers on. He became lodged in the windshield and the driver continued to drive. Gove says that he turned to the driver and said, "Hello, I'm the guy you hit on the bicycle."  The driver, a 20-year-old man, failed to notice and continued driving, running a stop sign and hitting another vehicle before returning home. The driver noticed Gove when he got home.
