Two students, a male and a female, were taken to the hospital after being hit by a car at the intersection of U.S. 76/123 and 133 Thursday night. The incident occured around 10:00 p.m. on October 23 when the two people, walking towards downtown Clemson, were struck. The male was taken by helicoptor to Greenville Memorial and the female was taken by ambulance to Anderson Memorial. The names and conditions of the victims has not yet been released.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal accident on Saluda Dam Road. The Pickens County Coroner identified the victim as Calvin Edward King, 67, of Easley. A spokesman for the agency says the pedestrian was hit by a vehicle at 6:41 Friday night. King was transported to Greenville Memorial, but did not survive the injuries. Investigators say the man was trying to cross Saluda Dam road when he was hit.
