Saturday, December 28, 2013A two-car crash in Hialeah left at least nine people injured early Sunday morning.
The cars collided at East 8th Avenue and Okeechobee Road, officials said.
"They were struck broadside it looks like and the vehicle rolled over. We're unsure, but apparently from what they're telling us, none of them were wearing seatbelts," said District Chief Stephen Leroux.
Five rescue crews were on scene treating the inuries. Three victims were rushed to Ryder Trauma Center and the rest were taken to area hospitals where they are recovering.

Tampa-St. Petersburg, FLThree people were injured in a Dunedin crash Friday that closed part a major road for six hours.
Two of the crash victims suffered life-threatening injuries, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office.
Investigators say the crash happened at about 11:43 a.m. at the intersection of Belcher and Highland Woods Drive, which is just south of Curlew Road.
