A four-vehicle crash at the entrance to an Ohio mall has injured three people.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol says the crash happened Wednesday afternoon as a compact car was turning left into a Sandusky Mall entrance on U.S. 250 in Sandusky. A truck tried to swerve to avoid the compact car but clipped it. Debris from that collision struck a nearby sedan. The truck then slid off the roadway and hit a midsize sedan waiting at a traffic light in the mall's entrance.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol says a motorist traveling at more than 125 mph has been charged with vehicular homicide after his car struck a van, killing a couple inside. A patrol spokeswoman says Andrew D. Gans, of Kent, faces two counts of vehicular homicide with a reckless specification after Thursday night's crash on the Ohio Turnpike. Staff Lt. Anne Ralston says the 24-year-old Gans suffered injuries that are not life-threatening and was hospitalized for psychiatric evaluation. He will be taken to jail following his release.
