A 48-year-old Eagle River woman was killed in a single-car rollover crash on the Parks Highway near Wasilla early Tuesday morning, troopers said. About 6:08 a.m., multiple people called Mat-Su emergency dispatchers to report the rollover crash, which occurred at Mile 37.5 of the Parks Highway. An Alaska state trooper who was nearby arrived at the scene within three minutes, according to a troopers dispatch posted Tuesday.

A 34-year-old Juneau man has been found dead near a Tenakee Springs accident site. Juneau radio station KINY reports Alaska State Troopers identified the victim as James Russell Vavalis. Troopers say he was found Sunday morning near a flipped over four-wheeler on the beach at Graveyard Point, just east of Tenakee Springs. Troopers spokeswoman tells Anchorage television station KTUU that it wasn't immediately known when the accident happened. He had been helping family members in the area build a cabin, and was last seen about 11:30 p.m. Saturday.

Anchorage police have identified the motorcyclist killed in a collision on a busy Anchorage street.

Police on Friday said the man killed in the accident was 32-year-old Justin Hillen.

Hillen died at a hospital after he collided with a dump truck pulling a trailer. The accident happened as the truck was turning onto Dowling Road during rush hour Thursday morning.

Police say the accident remains under investigation, and no charges have been filed.

A 20-year-old woman is hospitalized in critical condition after a motorcycle crashed into her motorized scooter in a Midtown intersection Monday night, police said. The incident occurred just before 7:30 p.m. when the woman, identified as Cynthia Wheeler, was riding the scooter westbound on a sidewalk on the north side of 32nd Avenue and into a crosswalk on C Street, Anchorage police spokeswoman Jennifer Castro said. When Wheeler was in the intersection, she was struck by a motorcycle driven by 26-year-old Michael Frazier, Castro said.

Three motorcyclists were killed Saturday evening on the Glenn Highway south of Palmer when they collided head-on with a car that had just been rear-ended, a spokesman for the Alaska State Troopers said.

According to preliminary information from the scene, four motorcycles were traveling in tandem northbound on the Glenn Highway near Mile 37 after 8 p.m. A vehicle in the opposite lane had stopped to make a turn and was struck from behind, pushing it across the highway into the opposing lane, troopers spokesman Tim DeSpain said.
