Shortly before 2:00pm, Spahiu lost control of her car and it spun and rolled into oncoming traffic where it was struck by Amell. Spahiu, who was not wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, while Amell sustained serious injuries and was transported to a hospital.
