Mankiller, of Crothersville, was found deceased in a Chervolet Malibu after the vehicle crashed down an embankment and hit a tree off of U.S. 31 on Friday around 5 p.m. Mankiller had been traveling south on U.S. 31 when the crash happened. The cause of the accident is under investigation.

Indianapolis, INTraffic on the north side of U.S. 31 was backed up after an SUV and a school bus collided. At least one person in the SUV was hurt in the crash, but their condition has not been released. Delays are expected for another few hours while crews clean up the scene.

Indianapolis, INAt about 8:45am, a the driver of a Jaguar containing five people was traveling southbound on U.S. 31 when they lost control and veered across the median into the northbound lanes. They were then in the path of an oncoming semi-truck driven by William Stump, 41, who tried to avoid their vehicle by swerving to the right, but the front of the semi-truck still collided with driver's side of the Jaguar. The immense force of the collision left four of the five in the Jaguar dead at the scene, and the only survivor sustained critical injuries and was airlifted to a hospital.
