Anchorage, AKA man stole a Jet Ski from an industrial area off Dimond Boulevard and loaded it onto a trailer on the back of a pickup truck, and headed north on Old Seward Highway. A witness called police and they caught up with him at International Airport Road and C Street. The officers attempted to stop the man, but he instead initiated a chase. Police chased for a short time before hanging back due to public safety concerns. The man had begun running red lights, and soon after he crashed into a traffic sign at Fireweed Lane and Arctic Boulevard.

Fairbanks, AKJust before 6 a.m., Aleksandr Glushko was drove a pickup off a road and into pipe that was stacked in a company yard. The pickup was straddling pipe and could not be driven off. Glushko then wlaked to George Horner Ice Park where he stole a forklift and proceded to drive it over three miles to remove the truck. A witness saw the forklift being driven not far from the crash site and called police. Glushko was arrested and charged with felony driving under the influence of alcohol.

Anchorage, AKDuell was flying a plane southwest from Wasilla to Beluga at the same time Bara was flying another plane northwest from Chugiak to a landing area near Johnson Creek, at about 1:05pm, when the two planes collided. According to witness accounts, neither plane made attempts to change direction or altitude as they neared each other at a 90 degree angle and eventually crashed into each other, and that Duell's plane made a more controlled crash than Bara's, which began to come apart after the collision and plummeted to the ground in an intense crash.
