Anchorage, AKWasila man Trenton Shepersky was traveling on the highway's southbound lanes when his vehicle entered the median and crossed over to the northbound lanes. His vehicle then struck a motorhome head-on and then struck a state vehicle. The two passengers in the motorhome, Beryl Vigneri, 30, and Japanese citizen Misa Shimiza, 25, were both injured. The driver of the state vehicle, Jeremy Doty, 43, sustained minor injuries.

Fairbanks, AKAt about 8:25pm, Greenwood's car slid into the lane of oncoming traffic on Badger and struck an oncoming van. Greenwood was pronounced dead after being brought to the hospital, and the driver of the van, identified as Adam Davis, 29, sustained only minor injuries.
