Honolulu, HIAt about 9:21pm, police received a call regarding an accident where a pickup truck departed Route 11 and struck a pole, leaving the 18-year-old driver injured and Camba-Penera ejected from the vehicle and in critical condition. Both were taken to Hilo Medical Center for treatment, but Camba-Penera was pronounced dead early the next morning. Current reports say that the driver fell asleep while driving, and that high-speed and drugs are currently being investigated as contributors to this accident. Check back for updates.
