Great Falls, MTJohn Joseph Maliszewski, of Ipswich, Massachusetts, owned the helicopter and was the only person aboard it at the time of the crash. His level of skill in piloting is unknown at this time. The accident is under investigation.

Missoula, MTMissoula International Airport officials stated that a Minuteman Aviation helicopter crashed on airport land on Friday.
Officials tell stated that the helicopter is a Bell 206. The two people on board walked away from the crash and refused medical attention. The incident occurred around 4 p.m.
Airport officials say the helicopter was on its side following the crash and it is unknown at this time what caused the helicopter to go down.
Airport staff say there was a small fire at the helicopter visible after the impact, though it is not known if the blaze started before the crash or after.
