The bicyclist who was killed Saturday in a Henderson hit-and-run collision was identified Sunday as Mario Regalado, 43, of Las Vegas, who was riding on Eastern Avenue about 2 p.m., near Evansville Avenue, when he was hit by a car. Regalado was taken to St. Rose Dominican Hospital where he was pronounced deceased. Police said the driver of a blue 1990s model of a Honda or Acura sedan with a Nevada license plate 871-LZH was speeding. The driver is suspected to be 33-year-old Cesar Gutierrez. The car has a smashed windshield and damage to its hood.

The intersection of Las Vegas Boulevard and Windmill Lane has reopened to traffic after being closed for nearly seven hours because of a fatal crash that left two people dead. The crash occurred around 1:15 a.m. According to police, the driver of pickup truck was speeding southbound on Las Vegas Boulevard and rear-ended a moped stopped at a red light. Both people on the moped were thrown more than 100 feet. One person died at the scene and the other died at University Medical Center. A third car was also hit by the vehicles.
