An allegedly drunk 22-year-old woman was driving a Mercedes-Benz at a high rate of speed when she lost control of her vehicle about 1:30 a.m. Wednesday near Appleton Avenue and Burleigh Street. The car rolled over, and the baby boy, O'Ryan Shaw, was not properly secured in a car seat, was killed. The woman was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and faces charges of homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle and driving with a suspended license causing death. We'll update this story as more information becomes available.
