Milwaukee, WIMembers of the Milwaukee Fire Department Dive Rescue Team used arms and elbows to chop their way through the ice-covered Menomonee River on Wednesday, pulling a woman from a submerged vehicle that went off the 27th St. viaduct, a fire official said. Milwaukee police say a 25-year-old woman and a 19-year-old female passenger were drag racing when the driver lost control of her vehicle, which went over a concrete barrier went off the 27th St. viaduct just north of Canal Street into the Menomonee River shortly before 6 p.m.

Milwaukee, WIA Kenosha congregation is mourning its pastor after she died late last week following a car accident at a McDonald's restaurant. A community memorial service is planned for 6 p.m. Monday at St. Mary's Lutheran Church, 2001 80th St., Kenosha. The Rev. Georgette Wonders was going through the drive-thru at a McDonald's after 11 p.m. Tuesday, The restaurant is a few miles from Bradford Community Church Unitarian Universalist, where she preached.

Madison, WIAn 18-year-old Oregon woman will be ticketed for her role in a head-on crash Tuesday morning in the Town of Dunn that injured her and another driver.
The crash occurred just before 8 a.m. at Highway B at White Oak Trail when Danielle Waldvogel, 18, crossed the centerline and crashed head-on into a vehicle traveling the opposite direction, according to a Dane County sheriff's office news release.
The driver of the other car, Ruth Drage, 54, of Middleton had to be extricated from her vehicle by Oregon firefighters, officials said.

Matthew Putz, 20, had to be exctricated after crashing on Highway 81 about 9:30 p.m. Thursday.
