A vehicle rolled on US-2 near Sunset Drive in Iron Mountain shortly after 8:00 p.m. Wednesday. The driver, a 46-year-old Quinnesec man, allegedly falling asleep while driving, and his vehicle left the roadway, entered the ditch, became airborne and jumped a driveway before rolling after hitting an embankment on the other side. The driver, the lone occupant of the vehicle, was transported to Dickinson County Memorial Hospital with injuries that are believed to be non-life-threatening.

24-year-old Jesus Oseguera of Sacramento told police he fell asleep at the wheel while driving a rent-a-truck carrying FedEx packages Tuesday morning. The incident occured on Interstate 80 near Hunter Hill rest area around 3:10 a.m. when Oseguera nodded off and almost hit the back of another truck. He swerved, causing his truck to overturn. Oseguera climbed out of the truck and suffered neck and leg pain. Police ruled out alcohol and drugs as factors in the crash.

LifeFlight was called in to transport one of the crash victims to the hospital. One of the survivors is in critical condition, and the other appeared to have non-life-threatening injuries.
