16-year-old boy killed, 56-year-old woman seriously injured in rollover off of I-40 in Flagstaff, AZ

Phoenix, AZA 16-year-old boy was driving west on I-40 in Flagstaff when he for some reason drove off of the roadway, where the vehicle rolled multiple times. The teenaged driver was thrown from the vehicle and pronounced dead, while a 56-year-old woman who was a passenger was trapped in the vehicle and was transported to the hospital with serious injuries after being extricated. Investigation continues to determine the cause of this accident.

Phoenix, AZNathan Bighorse was driving a car on Lake Mary Road when the car crashed and rolled over. A 9-year-old girl and a 13-year-old girl, sisters, were riding in the car at the time and were thrown from the vehicle when it crashed. They were pronounced dead at the scene. Bighorse had to be extricated from the wreckage. The incident is still under investigation.

Phoenix, AZThe boy was not wearing a helmet and was riding in a place he was told not to go and lost control. Fortunately, the boy's 14-year-old cousin was able to lift the quad off of him and call for help. The boy is in the Phoenix Children's Hospital and is expected to recover.
