21-year-old box truck driver killed in collision with trailer truck on Highway 249 in Houston, Texas

The accident occurred at 2:05 p.m. Thursday when a white Isuzu box truck and a flat-bed tractor-trailer truck collided on Highway 249 inbound between Beltway 8 and Gessner. The 21-year-old driver of the box truck failed to control his speed and rear-ended the tractor trailer. The box truck driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The other driver remained at the scene.
