Saturday, May 16, 2015A 20-year-old woman was apparently looking at her phone to select music while driving north on Highway 99 at about 12:15 p.m., and didn't see that the cars in front of her had slowed down. She rear-ended the vehicle in front of her before careening into the other lane and striking a second vehicle, which was propelled forward into one more vehicle. Six people in total were injured, but no further information was released.

Thursday, May 7, 2015This major collision began at about 7:45 a.m., when a 48-year-old man driving an eastbound semi-truck on Highway 120 did not slow down for the increasing traffic in front of him, and rear-end a Toyota Corolla, which struck two more sedans and another semi-truck in a chain reaction. The 25-year-old woman driving the Corolla was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. A 35-year-old man in one of the other cars sustained serious injuries, while the at-fault driver in the semi-truck had moderate injuries.
