New York, NYA woman was killed when her black compact station wagon became airborne on Boston Avenue at about 6:30 a.m. Thursday. The car jumped a fence and slammed into a tree. An 11-year-old boy was also in the car, but his condition wasn't available. The black compact station wagon struck the tree, on a grass strip next to the parking lot for Prime Resources Corp. The woman was pronounced dead at Bridgeport Hospital. Police shut down the eastbound lanes of Boston Avenue between Helen Street and Seaview Avenue for the investigation of the fatal accident.

Hartford & New Haven, CTA 22-year-old Uncasville man was killed in a crash on on Route 354 in Colchester and he road will be closed until noon as police investigate.
Police have identified the man as Charles Malloy, of Gay Hill Road in Uncasville.
He lost control of a Chevy Silverado around 2:30 a.m., went off the road and hit a Connecticut Light & Power pole, severing it in half, police said.
Malloy's car rolled over and landed on the hood.
Power lines are running across Route 354, or Parum Road, and it is closed near Macklyn Drive.

Hartford & New Haven, CTAdam Lincoln was driving on Hillside Drive at a high rate of speed when he lost control of the vehicle, it left the roadway, and crashed into a tree. One passenger died and another seriously injured. Lincoln's blood-alcohol level was found to be more than twice the legal limit. He was sentenced to 3 1/2 years in prison for second-degree manslaughter with a motor vehicle, second degree-assault, operating under the influence, traveling unreasonably fast and failure to maintain the proper lane.
