New York, NY21-year-old Sherif Wheeler was driving a luxury car south on Grand Avenue at around 4:25 a.m. when he left the roadway, striking a tree, some fencing, and finally the Second Baptist Church. A 20-year-old man that was riding in Wheeler's car sustained some injuries in the crash and was brought to the hospital, and Wheeler initially fled the scene of the accident but was later found and arrested. Some sources say he was unlicensed.

New York, NYGregory Balmir, 42, was headed south on Grand Avenue at about 4:00 a.m. when he veered across two lanes and collided with a pole. His car then continued to cross Kings Parkway where it crashed into a Johnstone Supply warehouse and caught fire, which began to spread to the building. Though the damage to the building was more minor, Balmir was killed in the incident and pronounced dead at the scene.

New York, NYOn March 6th 2015 at 11:06 PM, the New York State Police responded to a report of an accident on the eastbound Northern State Parkway east of exit 30, in the Town of Hempstead. A Chevrolet Malibu and a BMW were both traveling eastbound when they collided. This resulted in the Chevrolet exiting the roadway, striking the center median and entering the westbound lanes, before coming to rest on its roof. New York, NYTwo people were killed after a grisly crash that shut down a section of a Long Island highway early Monday morning just after midnight Sunday on the Meadowbrook State Parkway near the Hempstead Turnpike exit in Uniondale.
As a trooper blocked lanes to divert traffic from the fatal accident, a marked New York State Police cruiser was hit by another driver.
