Thursday, November 27, 2014Two Fort Smith residents died Thursday after their vehicle crashed in Sequoyah County. Quentin Skiver, 32, and Diana Lozano, 28, were in a 1996 Nissan Maxima when it veered off of county road East 1120, just west of Roland, about 3:35 a.m. Thursday. The vehicle was traveling at high speed. Skiver lost control of the vehicle, which left the roadway, went airborne, and hit a utility pole. The car broke into three pieces, ejecting Skiver and Lozano. Skiver and Lozano both were pronounced deceased at the crash scene.

Saturday, April 19, 2014An El Reno man died Sunday morning after his sports utility vehicle crashed in Sequoyah County, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.
About 8 a.m., Timothy Davis, 48, was traveling east on Interstate 40 about a mile from the Roland exit. The front tire on the passenger side on the SUV he was driving had a blowout, and the vehicle went off the road to the right and struck two trees, troopers said.
Davis, who was not wearing a seat belt, died at the scene, troopers said.
