Ephrata police have identified an 83-year-old woman who died Monday after a one-vehicle crash.

Vivian Crowther drove her car off the road in the 700 block of Oak Boulevard and struck a tree, police said.

An accident that required the response of a Life Lion medical helicopter has been cleared from U.S. 22 in Reed Township, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. The accident was blocking the eastbound and westbound sides of the roadway earlier Friday. The westbound side was cleared around 1:10 p.m. and PennDOT said there may be residual delays as traffic continues to move through the area. The accident occurred a short distance from the Clarks Ferry Bridge. The extent of injuries in the incident was not immediately known Friday afternoon.

50-year-old truck driver faces DUI charges after a fatal crash in Adams County that happened around 7 p.m. Thursday. Jeffrey Moser, 50, was driving a box truck on the 6500 block of Fairfield Road in Carroll Valley when he hit a Jeep on the side of the road, killing Melissa Huff, 38, according to police. Huff and her boyfriend had stopped to recover a deer that had been killed in a previous accident. Investigators say Moser fled and abandoned his truck. Police said they later found Moser hiding in some bushes outside his home.

A man suffered head injuries when he was struck by a car Tuesday night in Mt. Lebanon. Police say Michael Joseph Puccio, 30, remains in critical condition after he was hit by an SUV while attempting to cross Washington Road in an area where there are no crosswalks. "He was crossing Washington Road, wearing dark clothing, according to witness statements. The driver traveling north didn't see him and struck him," said Police Chief Coleman McDonough. The name of the 17-year-old driver is not being released. Police say right now they have no plans to file charges.

Brian Humbert was killed when a man accused of texting and driving went off the road and struck him on his motorcycle. Humbert died at the scene.
