A 43-year-old Tacoma man died in a one-car crash at southbound Interstate 705 and South 21st Street Monday night. The Washington State Patrol said speed was a factor, and that investigators confirmed that the vehicle hit curbing on the 21st Street exit, and vaulted over the barrier of the overpass back onto I-705. The man was the driver and only occupant of the 2008 Audi involved in the crash that happened about 7 p.m. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Officials have not yet released his name.

A 16-year-old who was driving to school was on life-support Tuesday afternoon after a multi-vehicle crash in Kent, but Kent police say he's being kept alive for now so that his organs can ultimately be donated. The crash happened before 8:30 a.m. on S. 208th Street at 120th Place SE. Both streets at the site of the accident were closed for several hours Kent police say the Kentridge High School student was driving on S. 208th Street when he was hit by another vehicle making a turn at the intersection. The collision caused the student to lose control and was he was hit by another vehicle.

Adam Newstrom was a passenger in a 1991 Honda Accord driven by Jonathon K. Reno of Vancouver, according to Washington State Patrol. Reno was traveling south on Jackson Highway at a high rate of speed, according to the patrol. The Accord was turning a corner, struck a guardrail and crossed the center line near Ray Road, two miles south of Toledo, according to the patrol. Then, the Honda struck a power pole on the front right passenger door of the vehicle and came to rest in a ditch, according to the patrol. The crash was reported just before 7 p.m.

Adam W. Newstrom, 28, of Vancouver died in a single-vehicle crash on Sunday night in Lewis County. Newstrom was a passenger in a 1991 Honda Accord driven by Jonathon K. Reno of Vancouver. Kelsey Heidecker, a 20-year-old woman, died Saturday morning after a semitruck she was a passenger in struck a tree on State Route 195. At 7 a.m., a semitruck driver, 21-year-old Braden Bundy, fell asleep at the wheel. He drove off the road and into a tree, totaling his truck about 12 miles south of Spokane. His passenger, Ms. Heidecker, died at the scene. Bundy was transported to Sacred Heart Medical Center with injuries. Both were wearing seat belts at the time of the accident. Criminal charges are pending for Mr. Bundy.

Curtis Cooley, 47, struck an oncoming car Saturday eastbound on state Route 904 while he attempted to pass a bus in a no-passing zone. His 8-year-old son was in the back seat and was rushed into surgery to repair a tear in his intestines. Cooley told Washington State Patrol that he’d been drinking at a tailgate before Eastern Washington University’s football game against Montana State. He also told troopers he felt the alcohol affected his driving. The driver of the other car, Raquel Caballero, a 21-year-old from Cheney, was injured and treated at a local hospital.

Two people were injured in a two-vehicle collision on state Highway 503 that clogged traffic for more than two hours. The accident occurred on Nov 8th. The crash was reported Friday afternoon nearly two miles north of Battle Ground on one of the few straight sections of Lewisville Highway. Clyde Simonson, 67, of Battle Ground drove a Toyota Tundra onto the northbound highway from Northeast 132nd Avenue and into the path of an Infiniti sedan, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Charissa Judkins died from injuries suffered in a Nov. 3 Kent single-vehicle crash into a telephone pole on 148th Avenue Southeast. The driver, Andrew Lucas Shock, of Covington, suffered serious injuries. Paramedics transported Shock to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle where he was listed Wednesday in serious condition in the intensive care unit. Judkins died at the scene of the accident. "Vehicular homicide charges are possible if the driver survives his injuries based on the death of the passenger," Kent Police Sgt. Robert Constant in a Wednesday email.

An elderly man died in an accident on Issaquah Hobart Road on the evening of Nov. 6th. The King County Sheriff's Office said a car hit a gravel truck. The driver of the car died on impact. The Sheriff’s Office said witnesses said the man was driving erratically prior to the crash and may have had a medical issue. Issaquah Hobart Road was shut down between Southeast May Valley Road and Southeast Tiger Mountain Road for the investigation.
