The bicyclist who was killed Saturday in a Henderson hit-and-run collision was identified Sunday as Mario Regalado, 43, of Las Vegas, who was riding on Eastern Avenue about 2 p.m., near Evansville Avenue, when he was hit by a car. Regalado was taken to St. Rose Dominican Hospital where he was pronounced deceased. Police said the driver of a blue 1990s model of a Honda or Acura sedan with a Nevada license plate 871-LZH was speeding. The driver is described as a man wearing a flat-brimmed baseball cap. The car has a smashed windshield and damage to its hood.
Salazar was crossing the street at Lankershim Boulevard around 2 a.m. when she was hit by a white Mercedes. The driver apparently stopped and then escaped after the collision, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. Police were interviewing witnesses at the scene Saturday morning.
After hitting a school bus in Suffolk, Virginia Thursday morning, the driver of a gray Nissan, identified as Travis Devone Copeland, 30, fled the scene on foot. The incident occured at the 2200 block of East Washington Street around 6:41 a.m. on October 16, 2014. No students were injured, however the female bus driver was taken to the Sentara Obici hospital to treat injuries not considered to be life-threatening.
Retired Hollywood stunt drivers Bob Orrison, 86, and Gary McLarty, 76, died in a car crash Saturday, October 12 just outside of Sacramento, California. The incident occured when Orrison took a U-turn in his Chevy pickup truck and was struck by a Jeep Cherokee traveling around 55 m.p.h. The two people inside the Jeep were taken to the hospital with moderate injuries. This crash is under investigation.
Soap opera actor Freddie Smith, 26, of "Days of Our Lives", was involved in a car crash in Ashtabula, Ohio Tuesday. The incident occured after Smith was unable to negotiate a curve on the highway, hit a culvert, and flipped the car. His passenger, girlfriend Alyssa Tabit was seriously injured and flown to a hospital in Youngstown. Smith suffered minor injuries. Alcohol and high speed are suspected causes of the crash.
Three people including two Los Angeles police officers were injured in an accident involving a patrol car and two other vehicles. The accident happened around 8 a.m. Monday in Studio City. The officers were taken to a hospital for treatment while the other injured person received treatment at the scene. The circumstances of the crash remain under investigation.
Manuel Dejesus Segovia Gonzalez was crossing Terra Bella Street not far from Cayuga Avenue when he was run over by a maroon Cadillac SUV or truck. The vehicle dragged him for about 100 feet, and he was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.

The two men were crossing the 7000 block of North Whitsett when they were struck by a black SUV around 8:30 p.m.
