Police say a 19-year-old New Hampshire woman has died in a single-vehicle crash in Vermont.

Scotlynn Silfies of Claremont was a passenger in a vehicle that left Route 131 in Weathersfield and overturned on Sunday night.

The driver, 20-year-old Seth Smith, was treated for his injuries at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon.

Silfies was a 2013 graduate of Fall Mountain Regional High School and studied nursing at River Valley Community College.

Heather King, 40, suffers minor injuries, after her snowmobile crashes into the side of a car in Danville.

Vermont State Police say a New Hampshire woman suffered minor injuries when she drove a snowmobile into the side of a car.

Police say 40-year-old Heather King of Merrimack, N.H., was traveling west on a snowmobile trail in Danville on Saturday when she failed to yield for traffic on Kittredge Road and drove into the side of a car.

Both vehicles were damaged. The driver of the car was not hurt.

One person seriously injured, transported to hospital, after a car collides head-on with a tractor-trailer on I-89 in Waterbury.

Vermont State Police troopers are investigating a head on-crash on Interstate 89 in Waterbury that seriously injured one of the drivers.

Police say that at about 3:20 a.m. Saturday a vehicle that was headed southbound in the northbound lane collided with a northbound tractor trailer truck.

After the collision the truck crossed the median and came to rest across both southbound lanes.

Driver Darnell Hannah, 59, killed, 2 passengers seriously injured, 31 one others have minor injuries, after a tour bus collided with a jack-knifed tractor-trailer on icy State Route 22A in Rutland County.

A tour bus struck a jackknifed tractor-trailer collided on an icy western Vermont roadway, killing the bus driver, police said Saturday.

Vermont State Police said the truck was stopped on state Route 22A in West Haven on Friday night when the bus crested a hill, lost control and careened into the guard rails and the trailer.

7 children from Berkshire Elementary School taken to hospital with minor injuries, after a school bus driven, by Shawn Parsell, loses control and slides into snow bank in Franklin County.

At least seven children were taken to the hospital after a bus accident in Berkshire Friday, but police say none of the injuries appeared to be life-threatening.

Vermont State Police say they were called to the accident on Potato Hill Rd. just before 4 p.m., where they found the bus partially on its side.

Robert Trombley, 45, struck and killed on I-91 in Orange County while inspecting his tractor-trailer after it crashed into guardrail. Whiteout conditions prevailed at the time of the accident.

A Massachusetts tractor-trailer driver who crashed on a Vermont highway during a snowstorm and then stepped out into the roadway has been hit by another vehicle and killed.

Vermont state police say 45-year-old Lee, Mass., resident Robert Trombley was traveling on Interstate 91 in Fairlee on Friday morning when his tractor-trailer slid and hit a guardrail. Police say the tractor-trailer was stopped in the middle of the interstate, blocking both lanes.

Southbound I-89 in Chittenden County closed after multi-vehicle crash. No injuries reported.

Vermont State Police say Interstate 89 south in Bolton has reopened after a multi-vehicle pileup.

Police say no injuries were reported in the Friday crash.

Troopers said it could take some time for the traffic backup to clear.

There was no immediate word on the number of vehicles involved.

Police are advising drivers to be cautious due to the winter conditions and blowing snow.

Melissa Harris 26, killed when her car crosses center-line and crashes into a telephone pole in Bennington County.

Vermont State Police say a 26-year-old woman has died after the car she was driving struck a telephone pole.

Police said Melissa Harris of Dorset was driving on a road in Sandgate at about 3:30 p.m. Tuesday when she crossed the center line and struck the pole.

She was taken to a hospital with serious injuries and later died.

Tractor-trailer crashes near construction zone on southbound I-91 in Windham County. No injuries reported.

Vermont State Police say that Interstate 91 southbound is open again in Brattleboro, Vt.

The interstate had been closed at Exit 3 southbound at about 10:15 a.m. Thursday due to a tractor trailer accident. The vehicle was off the roadway in a construction zone. Police say the tractor trailer has been removed.

The road was reopened at about 11:20 a.m. Traffic had been diverted at Exit 3.

The driver of the tractor trailer unit wasn’t hurt.

19-year-old female skier killed in skiing accident at Sugarbush Ski Resort.

Vermont State Police say a skier has died in a crash at the Sugarbush Ski Resort in Warren.

The 19-year-old female, later identified as Kendra Bowers, was skiing on Saturday morning with family and friends at Mount Ellen when she lost control, went off the trail and hit a trail sign.

Police say the crash happened at the intersection of the Lower Rim Run and Lower FIS trails.
