Denny Wayne Whiteside, 61, killed in rollover on I-20/59 in Birmingham, Alabama

1 killed in weekend crash on Birmingham interstate

The crash happened at 2:12 p.m. in the northbound lanes of the interstate near the Fourth Avenue South exit. Whiteside was driving a 2003 Mitsubishi Montero Sport. Authorities said it appears a car ran Whiteside's SUV off the roadway. There's no indication at this point it was intentional. Whiteside ran off the roadway and flipped several times. He was thrown from the vehicle. 
The driver of the other vehicle, which appeared to run Whiteside's vehicle off the road didn't stop. It's not clear if this was intentional. Whiteside was taken to UAB Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The incident remains under investigation.

I'm his grandson,18 years old, and I truly hope whoever ran him off the road gets caught. RIP I love you

Our little dog Harley was killed also my boyfriend of 22 yrs was killed and my little angel is gone.
