Witnesses indicated the motorcycle was traveling at a high rate of speed. Waldrop was pronounced dead at the scene as a result of the collision.

A traffic accident on East Meighan Boulevard claimed the life of a Gadsden man this afternoon. A motorcycle driven by 22-year-old Carl Waldrop was traveling east, when it collided with a Lexus SUV on the passenger side. The SUV was coming off Litchfield Avenue attempting to turn onto Meighan.

People don't pay attention to motorcycle its sounds to me its was the the driver of the SUV he should have been paying more attention to on coming traffic if people would be more aware that young man would still be alive
