Elderly woman killed in 2-vehicle crash in Gilbert, Arizona

The accident occured near the intersection of Val Vista Drive and Baseline Road when the woman turned in front of another driver, Sgt. Jesse Sanger of the Gilbert Police Department said. The other driver had the right of way, Sanger said.

Both vehicles involved were pickup trucks, and both were heavily damaged. According to a tweet from the Gilbert Police Dept., Northbound Val Vista Drive was closed from Raleigh Bay Drive to Baseline Road as they investigate the crash.
