The driver of a SUV was killed when he suddenly drove into oncoming traffic and collided with a moving truck Wednesday afternoon, the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office said.

Authorities said one passenger was in the SUV and three teenagers were in the Budget rental truck. Jones also said that authorities were called to Jerger's home related to a domestic violence situation.
Kenneth Jerger died instantly in the crash on University at 67th Street, according to MCSO. A passenger in his vehicle was hurt. Three people in the moving truck also suffered minor injuries. Sheriff's deputies said they found drug paraphernalia in Jerger's SUV, and that they believe drug use might have played a role.
