A man died after he was ejected from a car when it rolled over early Wednesday morning in Phoenix, according to authorities.

A 28-year-old man is dead after he was ejected from his car early Wednesday morning in Phoenix. The man was driving a sedan east on Tierra Buena Lane, just north of Greenway Road, at 47th Avenue when he lost control, hit a cemented mailbox and tree stump and the car rolled, said Phoenix police. The driver was ejected and his body came to rest in the street. Police said some residents in the area said they heard a loud noise between 2 and 3 a.m., but no one went outside to see what it was, Holmes said. Police were called to the scene until about 5 a.m., he said. Investigators were trying to determine exactly why the driver lost control. His identity was withheld pending notification of relatives.
