One person was killed just after midnight Sunday in a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 17, officials said.

A small passenger car and a large truck collided about 12:15 a.m. on southbound I-17 at Dixileta Road, according to the Department of Public Safety.

One person was killed, but police had not released the person’s identity Sunday morning.

A man who allegedly hit a good Samaritan at the scene of a deadly crash on a Phoenix interstate has been booked on a felony hit-and-run charge.

He's identified as Alberto Lopez-Ruelas.

A woman who was ejected from a car on a Phoenix interstate and then hit by multiple vehicles was killed. Three other people were hurt.

DPS stated that they received a call at 5:21 a.m. about a vehicle that was blocking the high-occupancy vehicle lane in the northbound lanes of Interstate 17 at Thunderbird.

A motorcyclist was killed in a fiery chain-reaction crash that closed the southbound lanes of Interstate 17 at Thomas Road through the evening rush hour Monday.

A DPS spokesman Officer said the accident happened around 3 p.m. and the freeway re-opened about 9 p.m.

A large, flat-bed pickup truck, traveling in the fast lane, lost its load - spilling cylinders onto the highway.

The motorcyclist, identified as 27-year-old Steven Mathew Daniels of Sun City, swerved to avoid hitting them and instead slammed into an SUV whose driver had suddenly hit the brakes.

One person was taken to a hospital early Wednesday after a bus collided with a sedan.

A MTS bus crashed into a sedan on 10th and E Streets in downtown San Diego around 12:15 a.m., according to the San Diego Police Department.

A passenger from the bus was taken to a nearby hospital for moderate injuries. The passengers in the sedan were not injured, police said.

Police said the accident was prompted by one of the drivers running a red light.

One person was flown to the hospital following a two-vehicle crash in Queen Creek on Wednesday afternoon.

The driver of one car was airlifted to Scottsdale Healthcare Osborn Medical Center, but the other driver, who only had minor injuries, choose not to go to a hospital, said a spokeswoman with the town of Queen Creek.

One of the cars involved in the wreck near Ocotillo and Hawes roads hit a power pole due to the crash and SRP went to secure the pole, she said.

One person was killed and two others critically injured after a head-on crash involving three vehicles in Phoenix on Tuesday morning.

The crash closed Indian School Road near North 61st Drive about 8:15 a.m., according to police.

The driver of a brown older-model Buick LeSabre crossed the center line and collided with a silver 2000 Hyundai and a Subaru Outback, Phoenix Police Sgt. Trent Crump said.

Three people were taken to hospitals with life-threatening injuries, including the driver of the Buick. That person died at a hospital, Crump said.

One person was critically injured in a multi-vehicle collision involving a city bus Wednesday evening, Phoenix police said.

Two other people suffered minor injuries in the crash at Peoria Avenue and Cave Creek Road.

Besides the bus, as many as four vehicles were involved, according to Phoenix Fire Department authorities.

It appeared no one on the bus suffered serious injuries, fire officials said.

Northbound and southbound traffic is restricted at the crash site.

The northbound lanes of Interstate 17 near Anthem were closed Monday morning after an SUV drove the wrong direction on the freeway and crashed into a produce truck, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.

The collision killed the driver of the SUV.

The 35-year-old male driver from Anthem entered the northbound lanes of the freeway and crashed into the semi-truck just before 12 a.m. Monday, according to a DPS spokesman.
