The wreck occurred at about 12 p.m. near 27th Avenue and Thomas Road when a woman, who police did not identify, turned right on to Thomas Road and crossed in front of the train, said Phoenix Police Officer Mark Vens.

According to Phoenix police, a collision between a car and a train in west Phoenix Friday afternoon left a driver with minor injuries. The woman's car, a gray Ford Fiesta, was totaled in the collision, and the train had only minor damage.
