Arkansas State Police say two teenagers were killed in a single-vehicle crash in Northwest Arkansas.

Arkansas State Police say two teenagers were killed in a single-vehicle crash in Northwest Arkansas.

Authorities say the wreck happened Sunday night on Old Springtown Road in Gentry. According to a preliminary report, 19-year-old Zachary Long of Siloam Springs and 19-year-old Shawn Hurt of Gentry were traveling in a sport utility vehicle when the vehicle went off the road and into an embankment.

Long and Hurt were both ejected from the SUV and were pronounced dead at the scene. State police say they're still trying to determine who was driving at the time of the fatal crash.

The weather was clear and the road dry at the time of the wreck, according to the accident report.

Long and Hurt were the 95th and 96th to be killed in accidents on Arkansas roads so far this year, according to preliminary state police figures.
