Woman charged with manslaughter after crash kills passenger

Alabama state troopers tell Al.com that 47-year-old Charla Jeanette Farmer of Montgomery is charged with manslaughter in the death of Pamela Johnson of Midway, Georgia, on Friday afternoon. Troopers say the 47-year-old Johnson was killed when the Jeep Wrangler she was riding in ran off the roadway and struck a tree.

Fatal crash leads to arrest

The crash occurred on Crenshaw County 30 (Beaver Pond Road) one mile west of the Pike and Crenshaw County Line.
