Mendez was the driver of a motorcycle that was traveling north on Route 59 at Country Glen Court in Joliet, and was struck by another vehicle, according to the Coroner's Office.

Molitor, 58, of the 4600 block of Lalique Court in Joliet, was arrested in connection with the crash on charges of aggravated driving under the influence, driving under the influence of alcohol and making an improper left turn, according to Joliet Chief of Police Brian Benton and Will County jail records.
