Hoover school bus driver arrested for DUI after I-459 crash

A Hoover City Schools bus driver is under arrest on a DUI charge after a crash on Interstate 459. Authorities said the bus ran off the roadway and into the woods line. It wasn't clear how man children, if any, the bus driver had transported following the school day Wednesday and whether any alcohol had already been consumed at that time.

The citation issued against Pierce states his BAC was .174 before field sobriety testing and .16 after field sobriety testing.
