Deadly crash in North Charleston kills three people

As of 7:10 a.m., police said they expected Rivers Avenue at Remount Road to be closed for at least two more hours.

Jaivon Pelzer, 25, of Goose Creek; Shanecquia Brooks, 31, of Goose Creek; and Jasmine Brooks, 26, of Charleston; all died at the scene from injuries sustained in the accident, according to Deputy Coroner Kelly Kraus.

The North Charleston Police Department has charged Antwan D. Haskell with three counts of felony DUI involving death, one count of felony DUI involving great bodily injury and reckless homicide.

26-year-old Antwan D. Haskell has been charged with 3 counts of Felony DUI involving death, 1 count of Felony DUI involving Great Bodily Injury, and reckless homicide.

According to officials with the Charleston County Coroner's Office, Haskell died from injuries he sustained in the accident that happened this past Saturday on Rivers Avenue and Remount Road.

Family and friends gathered Saturday to remember the three victims killed in a crash blamed on a drunk driver.
