Two men died following a car crash just before midnight Friday in McCandless.
John Richards, 28, of Allison Park, and Michael Brunner, 28, of Allison Park, died after their car crashed at Babcock Boulevard and Apple Hill Lane. No other vehicles were involved, said McCandless police, who are investigating the incident.
The Allegheny County medical examiner’s office will perform an autopsy later today.
A 24-year-old woman was killed early this morning in a vehicle crash in Wilkinsburg.
Christina Graham-Pinkney was a passenger in a vehicle that collided with another vehicle around 1:30 a.m. in the 2100 block of Robinson Boulevard, according to the Allegheny County medical examiner's office. She died at the scene.
Wilkinsburg police said Robinson Boulevard remained closed between Wilner and Douglass drives as of 7:15 a.m.
Thursday night, two cars hit head-on along Fifth Avenue in White Oak, killing both drivers.
Police said Michael Bakosh was driving south towards McKeesport -- speeding, and weaving in and out of traffic. Investigators said he crossed four lanes of traffic and hit a 45-year-old woman head-on, killing her.
A friend of one of the drivers, said the tragic accident could have been avoided. A friend was with Bakosh a couple hours before his friend died.
Five persons suffered minor injuries, and the drivers of both cars in a two-car crash Tuesday afternoon were ticketed by State Police.
Investigators said Dakota Silsby, 18, of Wellsville was driving north on County Route 9 behind a car driven by Laceanne Wyckoff, 31, of Bolivar, when Wyckoff slowed down to make a left turn as Silsby failed to see her turn signal. He tried to pass the Wyckoff car but struck it on the driver’s side.
