According to Florida Highway Patrol, Kathy Hayes' car was stopped on the right, westbound lane of U.S. 92 in DeLand.
Hayes, who had gotten out her car, was standing in front of it when Erica Johnson, of Ormond Beach, crashed her Ford SUV into it.

An Edgewater woman was killed this morning in Volusia County when a driver crashed into the back end of her disabled vehicle, causing it to hit her.
According to Florida Highway Patrol Kathy Hayes' car was stopped on the right, westbound lane of US-92 in Deland.
Hayes who had gotten out her car, was standing in front of it when Erica Johnson, of Ormond Beach, crashed her Ford SUV into it.
Johnson was taken to Halifax Medical Center with minor injuries.
This crash is under investigation and charges are pending.
